24/7 Science

For science geeks, the more they learn the more curious they get. Some are more interested in physics while others think chemistry is just for them; and there are some whose interests lies in the skies, the stars, the planets.

Whatever the interest, learning and knowing about science is always fun and fuels one’s curiosity. And the site 24/7 Science happens to answer most of the questions of the curious minds of ages six to 13, and will make them explore their surroundings more than before.

As the name suggests, 24/7 Science focuses on various science fields like astronomy, physics, chemistry, biology and many others described in four main categories of fun-filled experiments and activities, such as ‘Afterschool kidzscience,’ ‘Checkout science,’ ‘Explore your world’ and ‘Roadside heritage.’ Each with relative info, games, quizzes, activities, video, tutorials, etc., every activity and experiment is followed by a related game.

Most of these activities are based on real world issues, for instance, oil spills. We are taught about the consequences of oil spills in the oceans and then there is an experiment on cleaning a small drop of oil by using different materials easily available at home.

All the experiments are given with clear instructions and feature common household items which can easily be handled by kids. The layout is bright, with appealing colours and there is no ad no clutter.

24/7 Science is free to use and requires no registration. It is created by University of California, the US. To find out more about everyday mysteries like why the wind blows so hard or what makes things sticky, visit http://www.lawrencehallofscience.org/kidsite/
