Nandipur furnace oil import record stolen

GUJRANWALA: Some people broke into the record room of Nandipur power plant on Wednesday and stole furnace oil import record besides deleting some computerised data.

Police with the help of a CCTV footage arrested a security personnel and shifted him to an unknown place for investigation.

Sources said the intruders broke a window to enter the record room housing the record in hard and soft forms.

Our staff reporter from Lahore adds: Nandipur Project Director retired Capt Asif confirmed that the oil record books, which were usually in the custody of security personnel, had been torn or damaged.

He claimed that one of the security personnel was involved in it.

He said an inquiry had been launched into the matter. He said the motive behind this act was yet to be ascertained. He said the matter had been reported to police and an FIR would be lodged soon.
