KARACHI: Six additional judges of the Sindh High Court on Saturday took oath as permanent judges. SHC Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah administered the oath to the additional judges at a ceremony held on the second floor of the main building of the court.

The judges who took oath are Justices Mohammed Iqbal Maher, Khadim Hussain Shaikh, Zulifqar Ahmed Khan, Mahmood A. Khan, Mohammed Karim Khan Agha and Mohammed Faisal Kamal Alam.

The ceremony was attended by the judges of the SHC, representatives of bar associations and senior lawyers and others.

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan on the appointment of judges had earlier recommended the names of six additional judges for their permanent appointment to the Parliamentary Committee.

Following the approval by the Parliamentary Committee, the law ministry had issued a notification to that effect.
