President to meet hockey team today

KARACHI, Dec 12: President Pervez Musharraf will meet Pakistan Senior hockey team on Saturday at 11.30 a.m.

Secretary, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Brig (retd) Musarratullah Khan, said on Friday that the president during his recent meeting with PHF chief Gen Muhammad Aziz had expressed the desire to meet Pakistan Senior team.

He said the meeting with the president will be a great encouragement for the senior team prior to Azlan Shah Cup to be held in Kuala Lumpur early next year.

Besides Gen Aziz, the newly appointed foreign team officials headed by Pakistan’s new Dutch chief coach, Roelant Oltmans, will attend the meeting.—APP
