Swimming pool for horses opens at KRC

KARACHI: The Karachi Race Club (KRC) has spent a sum of Rs4.5 million for constructing a swimming pool for the comfort of racing horses at its premises, sources told Dawn.

The pool was commissioned recently and is a fine addition to the club which was moved from old premises to the present in 1989. The KRC has also appointed a caretaker for the facility.

The construction of the pool which is 150’ x 10’ in length and breadth and 10’ deep started in April last year.

The owners of the racing horses have welcomed the addition of the facility which is being used by the horses after morning galloping.

Initially, the KRC has fixed Rs100 per horse per trip to meet the expenses.
