A little act of humanity

I really appreciate Young World magazine as it is full of knowledge, lessons and catches the interest of not just kids but adults too. Therefore, today I want to raise some serious concerns and bring it into the notice of the wildlife authorities.

A small zoo ‘Lohi Bher’ located near a well-known society PWD (Islamabad), needs a survey. A baby bear was born there some months ago, and just like other small bears, it should be healthy, able to climb and scare away its predators but I was upset to see the condition of this little fellow who was suffering from muscle weakness. The poor bear seemed to be weak and could not even support its body mass.

It is my humble request to people with a kind heart to save the little speechless creature. Good food, right medication, hygienic conditions and a watchful eye can help him to live. Animals, especially in captivity, need special care and attention from us as they too are living creatures.

More space to articles

I am regular reader of Dawn and Young World magazine. I request the Young World team to stop publishing advertisements and “Magic in a minute”, instead publish more reading material on informative topics.

We readers do not need fruitless topics and advertisements. We are here to learn something, therefore it is my request to give more space to articles.

We will miss Junaid Jamshed

Last week, we lost a famous personality, Junaid Jamshed, whose song Dil Dil Pakistan has almost become second to our National Anthem. We are deeply saddened by the fact that he is no longer with us. We cannot forget him nor will the generations to come!

Poor quality of textbooks

Books are treasures that improve our lives. Books are oceans of knowledge, by reading books we can be what we want to be. All writers, doctors, engineers, artists and researchers have read books which have helped to change their lives.

Textbooks play a vital role in the development of a country. They are a source of information and the promotion of our culture. The quality of textbooks in our government schools is poor, as a result, students are just wasting their time and this is destroying the bright future of our country. I would request the government to conduct strict checking of books and improve their quality so that we can get better education and thus improve our lives.
