Low gas pressure irks people in Kohat areas

KOHAT: People of villages located along Rawalpindi Road here have complained about low gas pressure, especially during the morning and evening hours.

At a meeting held here on Friday, district councillor Mohammad Faheem and Mohammad Sajid of Bilitang town said that the gas company knew that several CNG stations were operating on the Rawalpindi Road for 24 hours, but even then they had laid a less diameter pipeline which was resulting in low pressure.

They said that earlier the pressure was good, but with the start of gas supply schemes in all towns and villages along the Rawalpindi Road it was getting lower and lower with each passage day.

They said that recently the pipeline of the KDA Town and Junglekhel had been replaced with 9-inch pipe to tackle the problem of low gas pressure.

They said that it should have been planned that the district had huge oil and gas reserves and under the law the natural gas would have to be supplied to every village.

They said that if the problem was not resolved they would be forced to take to the roads.

KILLERS TRACED: The city police have solved a murder case and arrested a woman and her paramour for killing her husband.

According to the police, the woman disclosed during the investigation that she had killed her husband with the help of an FC official as they wanted to marry.
