Batmobile made from 344,187 Legos

Chevy and Warner Brothers constructed a life-size version of the Lego Batmobile from the upcoming film The Lego Batman Movie.

The vehicle was unveiled in Detroit to promote the film, which is set to release on February 10.

Chevy posted a mock listing for the replica vehicle, boasting a 20,000 horsepower engine, 120,000 pound towing capacity and $48 million price tag.

While not an actual functioning vehicle, the replica Batmobile was constructed by LEGO Master Builders in Enfield using 344,187 bricks in 17 colours and measures 17 feet, while weighing nearly 1,700 pounds.

Lead Designer Erik Varszegi and Lead Builder Jeff Rushby led a team of 68 people through 220 hours of design and 1,800 hours of physical production.

Kristen Stewart to direct first feature-length film

Twilight-famed star Kristen Stewart is turning towards directing movies. The 26-year-old star told in an interview that she’s working on a full-length movie following her directorial debut with the short film Come Swim at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

Stewart directed Come Swim as part of Refinery29’s female-focused Shatterbox Anthology series. She voiced her continued interest in directing while discussing the short film at An Evening with Kristen Stewart” during the New York Film Festival in October.

“That is the most satisfying thing I have ever done,” the star said of directing. “As an actor, you’re like a little thing that can help everyone feel this, but when it comes from you — it’s like validation in the most ultimate. You’re not alone. Like, ‘I see you, girl. I see you, and I get it.’” Stewart said.
