Pakistan qualifies for blind World T20 Championship semifinal

Pakistan on Friday qualified for the semifinal of the blind World T20 Championship 2017, being played in India after, it defeated Nepal by 10 wickets, said a statement issued by Pakistan Cricket Board.

According to the statement, this was Pakistan's fifth consecutive victory in the ongoing mega event.

With the victory against Nepal, Pakistan sealed its place on the top of the points table, read the statement.

In the match played at New Delhi's Dawarka Sports Complex, Nepal made 116 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sunil Rana was the top scorer with 40 runs.

Sanaullah grabbed two wickets while Riasat Khan and Muhammad Ayaz claimed one wicket each.

In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 7.5 overs without losing any wicket.

Riasat Khan and Matiullah remained unbeaten after making 56 and 50 runs respectively. Riasat was declared the "man of the match for his overall performance.

Pakistan will play its next league match against South Africa in Bangalore on February 6.
