Wonder Craft: Paper gift-pack

It is said that first impression is the last impression, whether you are meeting someone, wearing something or presenting someone a gift or being presented with a gift. To make a lasting impression, we may end up spending a huge amount of money on the packaging of a gift.

So today we are making an easy, small and elegant paper gift pack that won’t cost you much to make but it will impress everyone. Please note that the gift pack we are making is for small presents (palm-sized). You can make a bigger one in the same way.

Directions:

  1. Fold the A4-sized paper into half to give a crease and to know the middle point, as in picture 2.

  2. Keeping in mind the middle point, fold from both sides into half (half into half), picture 3.

  3. Glue one side so that it pastes over the other, see pictures 4 and 5.

  4. Choose any side to be the bottom, then fold one and a half inch (the size of your three fingers), as in picture 6, and press it to create a crease.

  5. Flip open the folds from both sides, as in picture 7.

  6. Turn the folds, see picture 8 and paste only the corners and the one that comes over the lower fold, as in picture 9.

  7. It now looks like a bag; fold and press one centimetre from both sides, as in picture 10.

  8. Open this crease carefully as this determines the width of your gift-pack, picture 11.

  9. Put your gift inside.

  10. To make a nice frill, fold half a centimetre forward and then backwards from the top; repeat at least four times. The more you fold, the nicer the frill looks, as in picture 12, 13.

  11. Holding tight at the middle of the pack, pull the frills carefully from both sides, picture 14.

  12. Finish it by wrapping around a ribbon and making a bow, picture 15.
