THATTA: Blood bank to be set up

THATTA, July 24: At least 200 juvenile patients suffering from thalassaemia and haemophilia in Thatta district will benefit from blood transfusion services as soon as the “Ali Wali Blood Bank” starts working next month.

This was stated by the president, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Welfare Association, Zawar Aftab Bhatti and Asma Shaikh, at Makli on Thursday.

Zawar Aftab said the building of the blood bank, the only one for the entire district, has already been erected at Makli under the self-reliance policy with nominal assistance from the Union Council Makli.

Mr Zawar said patients involved in delivery cases and accidents would also be facilitated by the blood bank.
