Multan, Abbottabad seal first-round victories

KARACHI: Multan and Abbottabad clinched crushing wins in the opening round of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-II Cricket Tournament while Bahawalpur also won their fixture on Thursday.

Abbottabad overpowered Hyderabad by 302 runs at the Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad as the home team mustered a meagre tally of 97 in their second innings after resuming at the overnight score of 18-1 while chasing a daunting 400.
