Imran wants PM to act against lawmaker for indecent remarks

NOWSHERA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to act against his party lawmaker Javid Latif for using indecent language against Murad Saeed of PTI.

“I will consider that PM Nawaz Sharif is standing behind MNA Javid Latif if he does not take any action against him,” he said while addressing a public meeting at Nowshera Kalan on Sunday, where he inaugurated Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex.

The PTI chairman said that he would expel any MNA of the party if they used foul language against anyone.

Praises KP govt for bringing reforms

Imran Khan remarked that Pakistan could not progress by only constructing bridges and roads.

The country could be put on the path of prosperity when better opportunities of quality education, health and justice were provided to people, he added.

The PTI chief said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had ensured that both poor and rich people were treated equally at the public sector health facilities.

“Fifty per cent health cards of the Sehat health card programme have been distributed among the poor people and the remaining would be distributed in the coming year,” he added.

Imran Khan said that late Qazi Hussain Ahmad was his fried and that his and the late JI chief’s opinion in issues were the same. He said the late leader wanted to root out corruption from the country and PTI was also pursuing the same goal to make Pakistan corruption free.

However, Mr Khan said he was surprised to know that Mr Ahmad had struck a political alliance with JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who is accused by Imran Khan of being involved in corruption.

He appreciated the KP government for bringing reforms in different departments, including education, health and police. He claimed that the KP police had become an example for others to follow.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said previous governments plundered the national exchequer and launched no major development projects.

He said the PTI had revamped the government institutions to deliver efficient public services.

Mr Khattak said that the medical complex in Nowshera would offer quality health services to the patients.

He said that PTI had started different development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and people had acknowledged better results of these schemes.

Provincial ministers Mian Jamsheduddin, Atif Khan, provincial JI emir Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Qazi Luqman, MNA Dr Imran Khattak, district nazim Liaquat Khattak and others were also present on the occasion.
