Ahmed Shehzad back in field after suffering neck injury during T20 match with West Indies
Pakistan opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad on Thursday returned to the field after suffering a neck injury while fielding during the second T20 match at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad.
"Initially, [Shehzad] showed concussion signs and pain within the neck," Shane Hayes, Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, told ESPNcricinfo.
The injured player was "removed from play and sent to hospital for further investigations" via an ambulance, Hayes added.
Shehzad had collided with Marlon Samuel as the West Indies cricketer tried to score a single at Sohail Tanvir's last ball during the fourth over in the second innings with West Indies having made 20 runs at the loss of one wicket.
The West Indies had won the toss and allowed Pakistan to bat first, restricting the team at 132 runs in the first innings.
