ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme has enrolled 1.3 million under- privileged children in primary schools, and its target is to take this enrolment to 1.6 million by June this year, BISP chairperson Marvi Memon announced here on Sunday while launching a nationwide enrolment campaign in Rawalpindi as part of the Waseela-e-Taleem (WeT) programme.

She said that registration camps would be set up in 32 districts across the country and this phase would continue till all children between ages of 5 and 12 were enrolled in primary schools.

Ms Memon instructed the WeT team to complete the enrolment process in all the districts within minimum time.

This is the second phase of the enrolment drive and the BISP aims to cement the success of the WeT in this phase.
