Pakistan Army's 2nd counter-terrorism competition ends

The 2nd Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) competition, focused on counter-terrorism, concluded on Wednesday at the National Counter Terrorism Centre near Jhelum with 10 international military teams participating in the competition, said a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The tournament was held from April 1 to April 5.

The team from China won gold along with teams representing 1 Corps and 30 Corps. Sri Lanka, Turkey, UK teams from Southern Command, 4 Corps and 10 Corps won silver. Bronze medal was awarded to Malaysia, 5 Corps, 31 Corps and 2 Corps.

Chief guest on the occasion, Corps Commander Gujwanwala Lt Gen Ikram ul Haque, applauded the “professionalism, dedication and skill of the participating teams”.

He added that the competition afforded an opportunity to all participating countries to learn from each other’s experience in the domain of counter-terrorism.
