Four killed, 40 injured in Dadu road accident

DADU: Four persons were killed and 40 others injured when a passenger coach hit a motorcycle and over turned at Pir Shakh, some 15 kilometres from here, along the Sehwan-Larkana section of the Indus Highway on Sunday.

Police and some of the injured passengers said that the coach driver failed to save the motorcycle when it suddenly appeared in front of the four wheeler.

The Larkana-bound coach coming from Karachi hit the motorbike, overturned and plunged into a roadside ditch, they said.

Two of the deceased victims were identified as Mumtaz Solangi, son of Asghar Solangi and Allah Rakhio Loond while the other two remained unidentified till late in the evening.

SHO Mohammed Ibrahim of the Khuda Abad police station said that 30 of the injured people were admitted to the Dadu Civil Hospital and 10 to the Bhan Syedabad Hospital.

Civil surgeon Dr Abdul Razzak Junejo told reporters at the Dadu Civil Hospital that the condition three passengers was critical.
