Adventures of Fuzzy the cat
This is regarding the story “Adventures of Fuzzy the cat” by Faizan Wasim (YW, March 18). I like stories in YW because they are interesting and nice, and also because they are an important source of increasing our vocabulary.
I found this story very amazing. Since I am a Sindhi speaking person, I will translate the story into Sindhi language and tell it to many other kids who cannot read English. I am thankful to the YW team for publishing interesting things in the magazine.

Heat stroke
This refers to the situation in Mirpurkhas where it is very hot. Adding to the misery of people, Wapda cuts the electricity most of the time. Mirpurkhas has temperatures shooting up to 43C daily.
This matter should not be taken lightly as heatstroke can take the life of a person. I request the government to take action against Wapda and give some relief to the people.

Get motivated to study
This is with reference to the cover story “Get motivated to study” by Kamal Ahmed Qureshi (YW, March 25). The article emphasised the importance of motivation to study better. Indeed motivation is needed to stay focused on the content and a motivated student can comprehend a subject more easily.
Most tips given in the article as setting a study goal, rewarding, having an interest in studies and keeping stress away, were reasonable and practical.
However, a suggestion of studying for scholarship, going to a favourite college/university or getting into a profession of choice, isn’t compatible with any higher purpose of education. Besides, it cannot be practical in a society where there is lack of equal opportunities for all, whether in employment or in education.

Police behaviour
I am young student, a few days ago, I got the opportunity to visit Karachi, through Super Highway from Hyderabad to Karachi. At Nooriabad, some policemen stopped our vehicle and asked us some common questions which we answered and showed them all the documents, however, they told us to give them 100 rupees. They were abusive and threatening.
I didn’t understand why they were doing this. It is very sad to see people belonging to such a respectful profession taking bribe.
Therefore, it is my humble request to the government of Sindh to investigate such people who are ruining the reputation of such a highly respectable field.
