Two suspected terrorists killed

TAXILA: Two suspected terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with law enforcement agencies in Wah Cantt early on Monday.

Subdivisional Police Officer Taxila circle Sajid Gondal told newsmen that Rangers were conducting a search operation in connection with the ongoing operation Raddul Fasaad in Pind Mallhi Road area when the suspected terrorists opened fire on them from an under-construction house.

In retaliation, the law enforcement agencies killed two suspected terrorists.

The suspects were identified as Sifatullah, a resident of Charsadda, and Mohammad Abbas of Peshawar.

They were living in the under-construction house owned by Mohammad Sohail in the guise of traders. A trader union card was also recovered from their hideout.

The law enforcement agencies also claimed to have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including a suicide vest, four grenades, one Kalashnikov with 25 rounds and a 30-bore pistol with seven rounds from the hideout.
