Wonder crafts
This is with reference to the Wonder crafts section “Paper butterfly” by Asif Ali (YW, April 1).
I am always impressed and inspired by the crafts in this section. They are so pretty and mostly made with easily available stuff in our house, so I can immediately try them out. The paper butterfly looked so beautiful and after making it, I pasted it on the mirror of our dressing table.
I would like to thank the writer and the YW team for publishing amazing articles for us.

Play hooky
This is with reference to the article “Play hooky or be in attendance at school” by Wasia Mukhtar (YW, April 15). In my college I have seen many kids bunking the classes, and they are not considered as nice kids because they are also not good in studies.
The article highlights a grave issue present in most schools and colleges in our country where kids just don’t take their studies seriously. They lie to their parents and waste their time and this is really a bad habit.
I thank the YW and the writer for bringing into the attention of children that bunking classes is never a good practice, in fact it defames you in your school and college. Moreover you will never win your parents’ hearts as you are cheating them.

Why buy used books?
This is regarding the article “Why buy used books?” by Syeda Armeen Nasim (YW, April 1). I agree with the writer that buying new books is spending too much money every time one visits a book fair or a store, while one can easily save some money by buying the same, but used, book.
It is not bad to buy a used book, in fact one should have pride in reading the book which is already read by someone who is what you are — a booklover.

II
The article “Why buy used books” by Syeda Armeen Nasim was indeed a good read.
I am one of those children who always buy used books although I can easily buy new ones as my parents never stop me from buying books. I personally think it is always good to buy an already read book so that it saves not just my money, but I feel connected to many other book lovers like me who have already read the same book.

Young World
Young World is doing a great job for children who love to read. It gives a chance to every child who loves to write or draw by publishing his/her contribution. It encourages children to showcase their hidden talent to the world.
Therefore, it is my request to the YW team to select the best poem or drawing of the week, and award the contributors by giving positions. I hope it will encourage children to work hard and compete.

Spot the difference
This is regarding the new section “Spot the difference”. I loved the activity very much and I am thankful to YW team for starting it. I think there should be more engaging activities in the magazine like this one.
