Siraj vows to abolish class-based education system

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq said here on Sunday that a uniform education system would be introduced in the schools and seminaries if his party was elected in the next general elections.

He said that they would abolish the current class-based education system, which divided society in different classes. He said that such an education system would be introduced that there would be no difference in the students attending schools, universities and seminaries.

Siraj expressed these views while addressing ulma convention at Thamash Stadium arranged by JI, according to a press release. He said that the country was looted during the previous 70 years by political pundits that brought the country on the verge of destruction.

“The unabated corruption has also endangered the ideological and geographical borders of the country. The existing status quo in the country is result of corruption,” said Mr Siraj.

He said that in the corrupt society, people like Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former dictator retired Gen Pevez Musharraf became leaders. He said that neither the names of religious scholars nor students of seminaries were mentioned in the Panama Leaks scandal rather only the rulers and their sons made offshore companies.
