JUI-F rallies in KP, tribal areas condemn Mastung attack
PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl staged protest rallies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas on Sunday to condemn the suicide attack on convoy of party’s secretary general and Senate Deputy Chairman Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and killing of its workers in Mastung, Balochistan.
In a statement, the party said that rallies were taken out in all the district headquarters and tribal agencies against the Friday’s attack that left 30 people dead and scores of others injured.
A rally was also organised in Peshawar, which was led by Senator Ghulam Ali, secretary information Abdul Jalil Jan and local leaders.
The statement said that JUI-F was punished for its peace-loving role and patriotism. It said that the party recently organised an international conference in Nowshera which was attended by representatives of all religious school of thoughts.

It said that the party would continue its role for restoration of peace in the country and to spread the message of Islam across the world. The statement said that JUI-F would not abandon its struggle for democracy.
LAKKI MARWAT: The JUI-F activists took out a procession in Naurang city on Sunday to condemn the attack on the party’s central general secretary.
JUI-F district chief Maulana Abdul Rahim and general secretary Maulana Samiullah Mujahid led the procession which started from Qila Ground and turned into a gathering at Parade Ground after marching through the GT Road.
Head of Marwat Qaumi Jirga Mohammad Aslam, Naurang tehsil nazim Maulana Ezazullah and party activists participated in the protest.
The JUI-F leaders condemned the attack on convoy of Maulana Haideri and termed it a coward act. They said that the enemies of Pakistan would never succeed in their malicious designs to destabilise the country.
They expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and asked the government to ensure foolproof security to the JUI-F leaders. They also demanded provision of better medical care to the injured.
JUI-F Frontier Region, Lakki, executive body also condemned the attack and demanded of the government to bring the perpetrators to justice. JUI-F Fata leader Maulana Mohammad Umar presided over the meeting held in Tajori.
KOHAT: JUI-F district chief Maulana Abdul Hayee has said that the party’s struggle for Islamisation could not be stopped through cowardly attempts by terrorists.
He was addressing JUI-F activists who held a rally on Sunday against the Mastung suicide attack on the convoy of Maulana Haideri. He said that the government should arrest the terrorists involved in the attack. The rally started from Tehsil Gate and after passing through the main bazaar ended at Kutchery Chowk. Party’s district secretary general Jameel Paracha also spoke on the occasion.
SHANGLA: JUI-F workers staged demonstrations here on Sunday, condemning the attack on party’s convoy in Mastung the other day.
The demonstrations were held in Bisham city, Puran Chawga and Chakesar, which were led by Maulana Rahat Hussain, Maulana Nizamuddin and Maulana Jamshid.
Addressing the demonstrators, they demanded of the federal and Balochistan governments to immediately arrest perpetrators of the attack.
They said that the government had failed to thwart terrorist attacks in the country.
MANSEHRA: The JUI-F activists on Sunday staged a sit-in protest in Kamila bazaar of Upper Kohistan against the attack on convoy of Maulana Haideri.
JUI-F activists from different parts of the district took part in the protest and demanded immediate arrest of those behind the attack that left around 30 people dead.
The local leaders asked the government to evolve a strategy to bring such subversive activities to an end.
