World’s largest cereal bowl created on game show

The CBS game show Let’s Make a Deal set a world record by creating a massive cereal bowl as a gag prize and shared a clip featuring the record-breaking bowl, which was featured as a ‘ZONK’ consolation prize on the show’s Foodie episode.

“Our Giant Zonk Bowl of Cereal is now officially the biggest bowl of cereal in the world! A new Guinness World Record!” the show’s Twitter account said.

Guinness World Records confirmed the massive bowl, which weighed 3,504 pounds, met the proper specifications and presented the show with a record certificate.

Members of the audience were invited to share in the contents of the gigantic bowl, which was filled with organic granola and milk, and the remainder was donated to a local homeless shelter.

Firework Oreos filled with popping candy!

The standard Oreo is good, the Double Stuff ones are better, and the fancy flavoured ones are a bit hit and miss. When it comes to this particular new flavour, we’re not entirely sure whether it will be glorious or a crime against snacks.

The new Oreo flavour is … Fireworks. Yes, you read it right!

Sadly, that does not mean the Oreos explode or light up the sky. Instead, it means the cream bit is filled with popping candy — Oreos but with popping candy.

They’re currently limited edition and only available in the US so they will not be popping candy in your mouth in the rest of the world.

Diving into a pool filled with sprinkles

The Museum of Ice Cream, which opened temporarily last summer in New York City, expanded to four times its size and moved across the country for this year’s exhibition in Los Angeles’ Arts District.

The museum features 10 exhibits and each room features the smells and tastes associated with ice cream and adjacent desserts.

“It’s not a museum in any traditional sense,” Bunn told. “I want adults to feel like kids. I want kids to come in and feel like children and it’s just fun.”

The museum features a room filled with bananas and a pool filled with sprinkles.

The $29 price of admission — $18 for children and seniors — includes two curated ice cream tastings as well as other sugary edibles.

Fish with strange ‘tattoos’ caught

A huge fish covered in ‘tattoos’ has been caught in the Philippines. Where you would expect plain scales, the fish has intricate blue designs of a crown and a shield, lettering and entwined plant leaves instead.

The fish is caught by fishermen in the province of Lopez, Jaena, Misamis Occidental.

Since the image was posted on a local channel, it has sparked thousands of comments from people trying to work out what happened. One possibility is that it was genuinely tattooed and then thrown back in the sea by somebody.

Perhaps a more likely answer was offered by Steve Clark, who wrote: “This was probably caused by some sort of trash or fabric that had been embedded in the fish’s skin and over time imprinted this design onto it. Just a thought.”

Others suggested: “There are many things in our world that we do not know about, especially under the sea. Remember, the sea is larger than land.”
