Terry joins ‘Ronaldinho and Friends’ in Pakistan visit

KARACHI: Chelsea legend John Terry has become the latest player to join ‘Ronaldinho and Friends’ in their visit to Pakistan next month for an exhibition match, organisers Leisure Leagues announced at a ceremony on Friday.

England defender Terry, who left Chelsea at the end of the season last month, will be the eighth and final player in the team which will be led by Brazil superstar Ronaldinho and plays against a team featuring Pakistan players in a seven-a-side game in Karachi in July.

Earlier this year Pakistan’s World Group took over the ownership of UK-based Leisure Leagues, which is an organiser of small-sided football.

The other players who will take part in the exhibition match include Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos, former France striker Nicolas Anelka, ex-France winger Robert Pires, former England goalkeeper David James, former Portuguese winger Luis Boa Morte and former Dutch midfielder George Boateng.
