Sanitary staff on strike in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH, Aug 6: Sanitary and other staff of the taluka municipal administration observed a strike here on Wednesday to protest against the attack

on the municipal office on Tuesday.The taluka municipal office remained closed.

An FIR was registered on behalf of the state at the A-section police station against some people for attacking policemen and injuring them.

Meanwhile, the local chapter of People’s Party Parliamentarians, at a meeting, demanded arrest of Muttahida Qaumi Movement activists nominated in an FIR for attacking the taluka Nazim.

On the other hand, Muttahida acting zonal organizer Abdul Majeed has said PPP activists are trying to pollute the peaceful atmosphere of the city for political gains.

He also criticized the local administration for being partial.
