Mohammad Amir to play in Champions Trophy final against India

Mohammad Amir is set to play in the Champions Trophy final against India on Sunday after recovering from a back spasm that forced the left-arm quick to sit-out the semi-finals against England, DawnNews reported on Friday.

The fast bowler was seen practising at the Oval ground in London's Kensington borough on Friday, two days ahead of the highly-anticipated final.

Team administration confirmed that Amir has recovered and will play in the match this weekend when Pakistan will face title-holders and arch-rivals India.

On Wednesday, Pakistan delivered an inspired all-round performance to rout a ragged England team by eight wickets in a one-sided in the semi-final.

Pakistan bowled and fielded tightly to restrict the hosts to a paltry total of 211 all out and the lowest-ranked team in the tournament knocked off the runs in style with a massive 12.5 overs to spare.

Rumman Raees had stepped in for Amir during the match against England.
