SUKKUR: No candidate secures A-grade in HSC exams
SUKKUR, Aug 8: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sukkur, has announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate Part-II (Class XII) Humanities Group Annual Examination, 2003, on Friday. However, not a single candidate secured A-1 or A grade.
The position holders among the boys were as follows: Munawwar Ali, son of Mehmood Khan, Seat No53260, of the Mustafa Oriental Degree College, New Jatoi secured first position with a B grade by obtaining 769 marks. Ghulam Farooq Shah, son of Ghulam Sarwar Shah, Seat No53224, of the Mustafa Oriental Degree College, New Jatoi, secured second position with a B grade by securing 723 marks. Abdul Majeed, son of Sher Mohammad Chohan, Seat No54603, of the Government Degree College, Sukkur, secured third position with a B grade by obtaining 719 marks.
The position holders among the girls were as follows: Sajida, daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Rajput, Seat No54727, of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Barrage Colony, Sukkur, secured first position with a B grade by obtaining 766 marks. Iffat Begum, daughter of Mohammad Rafiq Shaikh, Seat No55159, of the Government Agha Nizamuddin Girls College, Sukkur, secured second position with a B grade by obtaining 757 marks. Shakeela, daughter of Abdul Majeed Mughal, Seat No52675, of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Naushahro Feroze, secured third position with a B grade by obtaining 749 marks.
A total of 4,286 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which only 2,378 passed, while 1,894 were declared fail.
The pass percentage among the boys was 54.06 per cent, while among the girls it was 58.07 per cent. The combined pass percentage was 55.48 per cent.
