Disabled woman, daughter-in-law found murdered in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: A woman and her daughter-in-law were found murdered in their house in Latifabad late on Monday night, officials at the B-Section police station said.
The victims were identified as Nafisa Bano, 44, and her son’s wife, Faryal, 23.
The victims, with their throats slit, were taken to the Liaquat University Hospital’s city branch for a post-mortem examination and later the bodies were handed over to the heirs for burial.
According to CIA DSP Aslam Langah, mystery shrouds the double murder and so far it seems to be a blind case.
He said that the CIA along with the B-Section police of Latifabad would investigate the case.
The DSP visited the crime scene twice over the past 24 hours.
Nafisa Bano was physically handicapped and lived with her husband, Dildar Hussain, son, Raheel, and daughter-in-law, Faryal, in a house located in Bismillah City. Dildar and Raheel were not present in the house when the incident took place.
“Both deceased were alone in their house. The main entrance has an interlock system and it can either be opened from inside or with a key from outside; otherwise there is no access into the house,” said the DSP.
Raheel told the DSP that he was with his friend in the Makki Shah area when he received a message from his wife and a call from his mother asking him to contact them.
The DSP said Raheel showed him the message on his mobile phone. He said that he would start his probe with call data of the family’s numbers.
He said initial probe suggested it was not a case of robbery. He said Raheel was the first who reached the house and found his mother and wife lying in a pool of blood.
