ARY Group's global transmissions resume after disruption due to technical issue

Various television channels belonging to the ARY Group went off air across the globe Wednesday afternoon, resuming shortly after the technical fault that caused the disruption was fixed.

ARY Group CEO Salman Iqbal told Dawn.com that the interruption in transmission took place due to a technical fault.

"We found a virus in our systems which led to the sudden system failure," Iqbal said.

Television viewers across the world had taken to social media to voice their concern over the interruption.

There were reports that the disruption had affected users in the UK and European region, as well as the Middle East.
