Hasheesh tames Adil to clinch U-14 title in DHA tennis
KARACHI: Talented Hasheesh Kumer shocked favourite Adil Khan to clinch the Under-14 title in the DHA Asian Tennis Federation Super Series Tennis Champoinship which concluded at the DA Creek Club on Friday.
Displaying superb tennis in front of a sizeable crowd, both Hasheesh and Adil competed hard in the final. Though the first set was won by Adil 6-3, Hasheesh made a fine comeback to win the other two sets 7-5, 6-2 to win the title in style.
It may be mentioned here that Hasheesh is a ball-boy at the Sind Club tennis courts and is being trained by coach Kamran Ahmed which has helped the youngster to improve his game tremendously.
In the third position match, Rayyan Jawad beat Abdullah Khan 3-6, 7-5,10-5.
In the Sindh Ranking event which was held on the sidelines, Mohammad Dada bt Mujahidullah Khattak 6-3,6-2 to win the U-17 title while Erij Batool Zaidi bt Varisha Khan 6-4,6-3 to win the ladies singles title.
The U-11 singles final was won by Zain Ahmed who beat M Ali 8-1.
