‘Terrorists can’t undermine police morale’

LAHORE: Punjab Acting Inspector General of Police retired Capt Usman Khattak has said subversive activities by anti-state elements and terrorists cannot undermine the morale and passion of the brave jawans of Punjab police.

He said this while visiting the Lahore General Hospital on Tuesday where he inquired after those injured in a suicide bomb blast near the Arfa Kareem Tower on Ferozepur Road on Monday.

He also presented flowers to those injured in the attack.

He said the policemen martyred in the terrorists attack were the pride of Punjab police and beacon of light for the force. He said those involved in the incidents of terrorism would be exposed and taken to task.

Mr Khttak said the terrorists had directly targeted the police twice in Lahore during the current year, adding that such cowardly acts could not undermine the morale of police.

He said combing operations were being carried out in Lahore and other districts of the province to round up the terrorists’ facilitators.
