Karate squads leave for Colombo

PESHAWAR: A 26-member Pakistan’s male and female squads including coaches, referees and judges have left for Colombo, Sri Lanka to participate in the forthcoming South Asian Karate Championship being held from Aug 3 to 6.

Talking to the media, Pakistan team coach Khalid Noor said that along with male and female teams coaches, referees and judges would also visit Colombo. Two upcoming coaches Irfan Nayyab and Shah Faisal will also be part of the squads, he added.

He said the male team comprises Mohammad Ibrahim Khan (KP), Mohammad Owais (Balochistan), Sawail Fayyaz (Punjab), Shahbaz Khan, Shah Noor (Sindh), Imtiaz Ali, Abu Zar Nazir (Army), Sadi Abbas, Baz Mohammad, Naseer Ahmad and Mohammad Kashif (Wapda) while the female team includes Sana Kausar (Army), Gul Naz, Nargis, Shahida, Benish Akbar and Kulsoom Hazara (Wapda).
