QAT decries PM’s package for Karachi, Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Taking strong exception to the announcement of multibillion rupees packages announced for Karachi and Hyderabad by the prime minister, Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT) president Ayaz Latif Palijo has said that the PML-N government struck a deal with “terrorists” by announcing the package in order to extricate itself from political crisis.
In a statement issued here on Monday, he said that such development packages would affect the National Action Plan and the peace restored by the Rangers and other security forces in Karachi.
He said the federal government did not announce any package for Sindh in the past five years. It had now announced billions of rupees packages for the “terrorists” of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). The PML-N had done it only to save its government, he added.
He said the money of the said packages would be sent to Altaf Hussain as a gift which would inject new blood in terrorism in Karachi. He said that instead of announcing such packages, the federal government should have provided facilities in government hospitals of Sindh to ensure better treatment.
