PTI brings its Mujhe Kyun Nikala drive to Lahore

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is stepping up its “awareness campaign” in response to disqualified prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s wailing “Mujhe Kyun Nikala (Why was I ousted)” during his home coming rally from Islamabad via GT Road.

The PTI is all set to launch a “Mukjhe kyun nikala” awareness campaign – to “inform” the masses why former prime minister was “actually” disqualified.

Mr Sharif had at several public gatherings on the GT Road bewailed his ouster, putting a rhetorical question to his audience why he had been disqualified and later himself answering it saying the Supreme Court ousted him “because I had not taken salary from (the company of) my son”.

Soon after Mr Sharif reached Lahore, the PTI took the deposed premier to the task when its leaders issued statements explaining why he had been sacked and disqualified to contest elections for the rest of his life.

The PTI had immediately launched a “Kuyn Nikala Aap Ko (why you were ousted)” campaign, listing 10 points leading to Mr Sharif’s ouster that included corruption, misuse of public office, money laundering and tax evasion etc.

A couple of days ago, the PTI had launched the awareness campaign in Karachi, wherein it hoisted streamers on roads carrying allegations of corruption, stashing money abroad, tax evasion and money laundering. The PTI workers also distributed campaign pamphlets among the commuters on various Karachi roads.

The PTI has now brought this campaign to Lahore and launched T-shirts carrying pictures of “Lion” (the PML-N election symbol) feeling low. The pictures carry two tag lines separately – “Kyun Nikala” and “Please Seat Wapis Daydo (please return the seat)”.

As the PTI campaign is set to be launched in a day or so, the party has placed orders for preparation of these T-shirts, which will primarily be distributed among its workers in Cantonment and DHA areas. The shirts will also be used in the NA-120 by-election campaign, it is learnt.

Meanwhile, it is also learnt that PTI chairman Imran Khan will visit Lahore on August 26 and 27 in connection with the by-election campaign.
