Sarfraz bags Outstanding Player of the Year at PCB Awards 2017 in Lahore
Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed won big at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Awards 2017 ceremony on Thursday, bagging the title of Outstanding Player of the Year.
The ceremony attended by both Pakistani and World XI cricket players in Lahore honoured current and former Pakistani cricketers for their achievements.
PCB Award winners:
- Babar Azam: ODI Player of the Year
- Yasir Shah: Best Test Player of the Year
- Imad Wasim: Best T20 Player of the Year
- Hassan Ali, Shadab Khan: Emerging Player of the Year
Former skipper Misbah-ul-Haq, who was present at the ceremony, received the Imtiaz Ahmed Spirit Award named after the former great who was part of Pakistan's first Test team.
PCB Chairman Najam Sethi announced that awards of Rs10 million each for Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi would be donated to the Edhi Foundation since the two former cricketers had not attended the ceremony.
Responding to the announcement, Shahid Afridi thanked Sethi and said: "Nothing better then supporting this noble cause."

Vowing to hold the awards every year, Sethi said that the awards should have been held every year since their inception but for some reason had not been organised recently.
