LUMHS entry test forms unavailable in Thatta, Sujawal

THATTA: Several hundred medical students keen to take the test for entry to the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) appeared perturbed over unavailability of the prescribed forms until a few days before the deadline for submission of the forms.

Groups of students belonging to Thatta and Sujawal districts held a demonstration here on Saturday and Sunday to raise their voice against the failure of the varsity administration in ensuring timely provision of forms to the designated bank branch and courier firm.

They said they frequently visited the branch and firm offices concerned over the past week but the forms were not available with them although they were supposed to submit them by Oct 3. They said they fear that negligence on the part of the institution’s officers concerned, they might lose the chance to appear in the entry test which could undermine their academic career.
