Spider-man — adventures of the web-slinger

He may not be the strongest superhero in the universe, but Spider-Man is one of the most loved characters when it comes to comic books. His story has been filmed on countless occasions, while comics and cartoons featuring Spider-Man have fascinated children and grownups alike; but do you know the real Spider-Man? Do you know why he became righteous and champions for justice? Simon Hugo’s Spider-Man – Adventures of the Web-Slinger brings to you the past, present and even the future of our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.

Join teenaged Peter Parker on his adventures through this book that chronicles his rise and rise as the amazing Spider-Man. You will get to meet his most dependable allies, his most terrifying foes and his future selves as well as options from other multi-verses. This book also enables you to know Peter’s relationship with his uncle and aunt, with his friends Harry Osborn and MJ, his boss at The Daily Bugle J. Jonah Jameson and his teachers who supported him a lot. The book also discusses the life and times of his Avengers’ friends Captain America and Iron Man, who had important roles to play in the Superhuman Civil War.

Know your friendly neighbourhood superhero

Peter Parker is an intelligent individual and this book tells us how it was he who created the Spider-Suit all by himself; he didn’t accept help from anyone while developing his Web Shooters that he wears on his wrists or he never accepted the story that he was a clone, not a real person. He even went on to become an assistant at the Empire State University when he thought that taking Spidey Pics for Daily Bugle wasn’t good enough a job for him. You can view his school report as well that labels him good at studies, worst at sports. What his teachers didn’t know was that the same students would go on to become the most athletic of all superheroes and save the lives of many.

Simon Hugo’s narrative is simple to read and understand, making it a perfect read for all – be it an eight-year-old or 80. The images used to complement the text are equally likeable and they will make you understand the working of Marvel’s Universe. Finally, there is a quiz at the end to test your knowledge about Spider-Man. If you don’t who the Spider-Slayer is or what is the full name of MJ, don’t worry and read the book attentively. I answered all the questions correctly … let’s hope you can too.
