Hyderabad BISE declares intermediate results

HYDERABAD: The Board of Inter­mediate and Secondary Edu­cation (BISE) Hyderabad on Friday announced results of the Higher Secondary School Certi­ficate (HSSC) part-I and II annual examinations 2017 (commerce and home economics groups).

A total of 793 candidates, including 230 girls, appeared in the commerce part-II examination. Of them 583 candidates, including 196 girls, were declared passed while 186 students, including 29 girls, were declared failed. The result of 24 students was withheld. Overall percentage of candidates remained 73.52pc.

In this group, Marvi of the Government Girls College Hyder­abad stood first by securing 808 marks, Umaima Anwar of Zubair Montessori Higher Secondary School Latifabad came second by securing 783 marks while Hasee­bullah of Hiast College Latifabad obtained the third position by getting 771 marks.

In the home economics part-II exam, a total of 23 candidates appeared in the examination. Of them 19 passed while four students failed. Overall passing percentage remained 82.61pc. In this group, Iqra secured the first position by obtaining 939 marks, Sakina grabbed the second position with 895 marks and Insiya obtained the third position by getting 894 marks. All three position holders belong to Dr I.H. Zuberi College of Home Economics Hyderabad.

A total of 38 candidates appeared in the home economics part-I examination. Of them 31 candidates passed in all the seven subjects.

In HSSC part-I (class-XI), 888 candidates, including 318 girl candidates, appeared in the examination. Of them 416 candidates, including 208 girls, passed in all the six subjects. Six candidates failed in different subjects while the result of 178 students was withheld.
