Peshawar lift PBC Super League title
GUJRANWALA: Peshawar blind cricket team beat Bahawalpur blind outfit in the final of the Pakistan Blind Cricket Super League 2017 here at Nishan-e-Manzil Cricket Stadium to lift the the trophy.
Peshawar won the toss and asked Bahawalpur to bat first. Bahawalpur batsmen posted a competitive total of 336 for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 40 overs with Mohammad Ejaz with an unbeaten 135 emerging as top scorer and Badar Munir also playing superbly for his 110. Muhammad Asif bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets while Javed Khan bagged one wicket.
In reply, Peshawar played outstandingly to reach the target of 337 runs in just 34.3 overs for the loss of two wickets. Mohsin Khan scored a brilliant unbeaten 175* while Haroon Khan scored 70 not out to see their side home. Masood Jan also made 62.
Later, Mohsin Khan was adjudged Man of the Tournament. Amir Ashfaq in B1 Category, Badar Munir in B2 Category, Muhammad Akram in B3 were declared besat players while Atiq ur Rehman was declared the best wicketkeeper.
General Officer Commanding, 6th Armoured Division, Maj General Zafar Iqbal and Syed Sultan Shah Chairman PBCC were the chief guests on the occasion and distributed the prizes amongst the players.
