Teen Titans Go! is headed to movie theatres

The popular Cartoon Network series Teen Titans Go! will make the leap to the big screen on July 27, 2018.

Warner Bros. hasn’t released any details about the full-length theatrical version of TTG!, besides confirming the title and release date.

Greg Cipes, who voices Beast Boy on the series, also confirmed the news on his Twitter account: The film will follow in the footsteps of other American animated series that have transitioned to the big screen, including The Simpsons, Rugrats, Beavis & Butt-head, Spongebob Squarepants, Lego Ninjago, and next month’s My Little Pony.

TTG! is a spin-off of the Teen Titans animated series. The comedic take on DC’s Teen Titans superhero team has been a ratings hit for Cartoon Network and resulted in 192 short-form episodes in its four seasons to date.

It sequel coming in September 2019

Warner Bros.’ planned sequel to It has been scheduled to arrive in theatres on September 6, 2019.

The sequel will bring back director Andy Muschietti and will take place 27 years later, with the Loser’s Club from the first film all grown up. Gary Dauberman has signed on to write the sequel. Producers Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg are expected to return.

The release date puts it into the same post-Labour Day frame that the first film launched in. To date, It has become the highest-grossing horror film in the US history by taking in $266.1 million domestically and $478.1 million globally.

Charlie’s Angels’ reboot

Twilight acclaimed actress, Kristen Stewart and Lupita Nyong’o are said to have been targeted for roles in Sony’s upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot.

The studio behind the film has expressed interest in casting Twilight star Stewart and Oscar-winner Nyong’o, as well as several other big names in the newest version of the female-led spy series.

Actress and director Elizabeth Banks is attached to direct the Charlie’s Angels reboot, which is set to release in Summer 2019.

Based on the 1970s TV spy series of the same name, Charlie’s Angels was previously adapted into a film series starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu in the early 2000s.
