PPP, PML-N staging a farce: PTI leader

MIRPURKHAS: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that both PPP and PML-N are responsible for the precarious conditions the country faces today but now they are staging a farce to hoodwink masses into believing that they actually oppose each other.

He said at a workers’ convention at Jan Sher Junejo farm near here on Sunday morning that the farcical opposition between the two parties was about to end and very soon they would be seen fighting with each other for power.

He said that massive attendance of people at PTI’s public meetings in Sindh had disturbed PPP. “Time has come for change and very soon real leaders of people will come to power in the country,” he said.

Mr Qureshi said the Sindh government had completely destroyed agriculture sector by fixing low support price for sugar cane and cotton, which had deprived farmers of hope and disappointed them in the government.

Unfortunately, Sindh rulers were least bothered about farmers’ plight since they were busy multiplying their bank balance with ill-gotten money, he said.

He said the Sindh government had no time to prepare a viable agriculture policy to benefit farmers and masses and challenged Sindh chief minister to a public debate on the burning issues of the province. The chief minister’s job was only to frequent Dubai to get fresh instructions, he said.
