Fifth ODI: Pakistan cruise to nine-wicket victory, complete 'green-wash'
Pakistan comfortably won the fifth ODI against Sri Lanka by nine wickets, completing a 5-0 whitewash in Sharjah on Monday and marking their ninth consecutive victory in the format.
It was Sri Lanka's third whitewash in the year — previous two being at the hands of South Africa and India — the most number of whitewashes in ODIs against any team in a year.
Chasing the 104-run target set by Sri Lanka, Pakistan lost only Fakhar Zaman — unfortunately caught behind just two runs shy of a half century.
Imam-ul-Haq, who made a century on debut in the third ODI of the series, completed the chase with a four, contributing 45 runs in total for Pakistan's cause.
