KHAIRPUR: Excavation planned

KHAIRPUR, Aug 24: Excavation at the historic Moomal Mari fortress in the Ghotki district will be started in December under supervision of archaeologists of the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur.

The chairman of the university’s archaeology department, Dr Nelofar Shaikh, told this correspondent on Sunday Rs948,000 would be required for the project.

She said a police picket was established at the site for its protection.

BODY FOUND: A body was found in a sugarcane field in Rasoolabad near Ranipur on Saturday evening.
