SHC acquits two convicted by ATC
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Thursday set aside the conviction awarded to two men in extortion and illicit weapon cases, ordering jail authorities to release both the persons if they were not required in any other case.
Adnan and Salman Khan had been sentenced to 10 years in prison each by an antiterrorism Court (ATC) on charges of possessing weapons without licence and extorting protection money from a businessman within the remit of the Bahadurabad police station.
The SHC annulled Adnan and Salman’s convictions and ordered their release if their custody was not required in any other case.
