All Pakistan Open Tennis main round today

LAHORE: The All-Pakistan Open Tennis Championship main round kicks off today at the Pakistan Long Tennis Association (PLTA) courts in Bagh-i-Jinnah.

Tournament director and secretary PLTA and former Davis Cupper Rashid Malik said that more than 200 players from across the country will feature in the event.

He said last year talented players like Muzammil Murtaza and Mohammad Abid played impressively and hoped this time more entertaining tennis will be played.

The tournament will stage the men’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies singles, boys U-18, boys U-14, boys-girls U-10, seniors 45-plus doubles and seniors 60-plus doubles events.

Malik Abdul Rehman bt Salman Riaz 8-3; Naouman Aftab bt Tahir ullah 8-2; Muhammad Shoaib bt Hanan Rauf 8-3; Muhammad Kumail bt Rafey Butt 8-1; Umer Babar bt Imtaiz Ahmed 8-1; Fayyaz Khan bt Zeeshan 8-1; Zariab Peerzada bt Hassan Riaz 9-8; Sikander Khan bt Jehanzeb Khan 8-5.
