Funds allocated for 68 projects in Attock
TAXILA: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed on Tuesday said Rs7187.645 million would be spent on 68 different development projects in district Attock.
He was addressing the participants of district development board session held at DCO office Attock on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by members of national, provincial assemblies, elected representatives, DCO Attock Rana Akbar Hayat, all assistant commissioners, tehsil municipal officers (TMOs) and other relevant officers.
He said under district annual development plan, Rs1221.820 million has been allocated for 35 different schemes under provincial buildings department, Rs4496.446 million for rehabilitation and recarpeting of roads, Rs1343.44 million for 18 schemes under physical health department, Rs114.524 million for two schemes under local government and community development department while Rs11.415 million for one scheme under education department.
Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said that the prime minister had approved these schemes in different sectors including health, education, betterment of roads, upgradations of schools, etc., under PM sustainable development programme.
He said Rs559.739 million would be spent on 235 different development schemes in NA 57, Rs400.151 million would be spent on 347 different development schemes in NA 58 and Rs 417.087 million would be spent on 189 different development schemes in NA 59.
On this occasion, he assured district officials of release of funds for various development schemes.
Mr Ahmed said that the construction of various roads and bridges in various localities of Attock district would be completed on time and soon various roads and overhead bridges will be inaugurated.
The minister stressed the need to ensure transparency and quality in all development schemes.
On this occasion, participants were also briefed about all ongoing projects in the district.
