Cook-it-yourself: Choco-coffee delight

We do all kinds of things to stay warm in winter. While adults drink coffee, kids reach out for stuff like hot chocolate and Horlicks.

The strong bitter taste of coffee is not so tempting for most kids, so this time I have tried to make a fusion of both the drinks so that the younger ones can enjoy a coffee session with the rest of the family.

The method here is the same used for making a very frothy coffee using a hand mixer, at the end I added cream and chocolate syrup on top to give it a sweet, chocolate taste. This turns out so creamy delicious that the coffee drinker will love it too. And to give it a milder coffee taste, I used less coffee, you can add a heaped teaspoon or more of coffee if you are in the mood for a strong drink.

The recipe is enough for one person, if you want to make it for more people, add more coffee, sugar and water, and beat, then transfer about two teaspoons of the frothy mixture into each cup and add milk. And yes, take help from your mum when heating the milk. Enjoy and stay warm.

Method

Add sugar, milk and hot water in a cup and beat it, with an electric or hand beater, for at least a couple of minutes until the coffee is frothy.

Now heat milk and add to the cup, stir well to mix. Add cream and chocolate syrup on top, and you can sprinkle some coffee powder on top too. Enjoy your choco-coffee!
