Two killed in Dera Ismail Khan attacks
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: An activist of a banned sectarian group and a caretaker of an Imambargah were killed in separate firing incidents in the Dera city here on Friday.
Police said two pedestrians, including a student, were also wounded in the firing.
The first incident occurred in the city’s Tank bus stand when assailants riding on a motorcycle opened fire on Mohammad Taimur Baloch, who was affiliation with the proscribed Sepah-i-Sahaba Pakistan.
Taimur and a passerby identified as Ikram, a student, received bullets. Both were taken to hospital where and doctors declared Taimur Baloch dead.
Police said Taimur received single bullet on left eye that pierced through his head.
Meanwhile, unidentified attackers riding a motorcycle opened fire at Matiullah, caretaker of Imambargah Hazrat Abbas, killing him on the spot. A passerby named Mohammad Jan was also injured. Police cordoned off both the places and sealed the crime scenes for investigation. Police also obtained CCTV footages of the second incident occurred in the Shaheen Street.
