Appreciate good things

I believe, everyone can do anything if they want to but all one needs is motivation and encouragement.

No doubt, the Pakistani youth has the passion to bring a better change in the society, but majority of people spread negativity, they even criticise others for doing good to others.

My message to the readers is that, just explore your skills and excel in the respective field of your interest and remain positive throughout your life. Always encourage your siblings, class fellows, neighbours, cousins and especially the poor.

Make a change in your community as it’s our duty to pay back to society.

So, let’s destroy the negative thoughts, let’s bring equality and spread peace.

Respect begets respect

This is with reference to the story “Respect begets respect” by Sana Samad (YW, December 30).

The story described the views of a student who was an expert in getting good grades, but due to lack of manners he had no respect in his class and even in society. Even though he was a position holder and was very intelligent, no one wished to sit with him due to his arrogant attitude.

We can conclude from the story that good manners are very important as compared to good grades, because manners will carry you where grades won’t go.

II

The story “Respect begets respect” by Sana Samad was a nice story. Although we know a lot about ethics and good manners, stories always reinforce these ideas, for instance, giving respect to everyone as this story showed us.

Aman did not give respect to anyone. His father tried to make him understand but he never paid heed to it. And when finally he realised his mistake, he was embarrassed at his behaviour.

It is clear that if we respect others, we will receive respect in return.

Cook-it -yourself

I have been reading this magazine for about as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed reading it because the magazine is full of interesting things.

One of the sections, “Cook-it–yourself” comes with great recipes and delicious snacks, and both my sister and my cousin go nuts about it. However, they are still learning to cook and I hope someday they will be able to cook well.
