NAB summons Aleem Khan over offshore firm
LAHORE: Not satisfied with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan’s reply, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned him for Thursday (tomorrow) to quiz him about his offshore company revealed in the Panama Papers.
NAB also called PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi today (Wednesday) for his offshore company.
Mr Khan on Monday had submitted the documentary evidence required by NAB through his lawyer. He had appeared before the NAB officials last month and recorded his statement after the bureau had sought the record of his tax returns, remittances and bank transactions from the Federal Board of Revenue chairman, State Bank of Pakistan governor and the director general of the Financial and Monitoring Unit of the SBP.
ARRESTED: NAB arrested Shuja Town Housing Society owner Sardar Zahid Shuja from Sahiwal.
According to NAB, hundreds of complainants approached it against the Shuja Town administration. Zahid Shuja was accused of selling out plots without seeking approval from the Sahiwal Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA). NAB had started investigation against the housing society in 2016 and the accused was given fair chance to return looted millions of rupees to the affectees but he failed.
